Rider Sets Fastest Time in Opening Practice of Portuguese Grand Prix

Honda Lacked Support
Marquez, a double MotoGP podium finisher, switched from Honda after three seasons, one with the factory team. He said he felt more supported by Ducati than he did by Honda, which has struggled for form in recent years.
"At Honda, I never felt like I was a priority," Marquez said. "But here at Ducati, I feel like I'm part of something special. I'm excited for the future."

Marquez will set his sights on victory after several near-misses in 2023, including finishing runner-up by less than a tenth of a second in the Aragon Grand Prix. His Ducati debut suggests that he has the potential to challenge for the championship.
