Former England cricketer Graham Thorpe dies aged 55

Illness had kept the ex-batsman and coach from his role with the Afghanistan team

Thorpe had been suffering health issues since 2022

Former England and Surrey batter Graham Thorpe has died at the age of 55 the England and Wales Cricket Board has announced.

Thorpe had been battling health issues since 2022 and had recently been seriously ill in hospital.

He was part of the England team that won the 1992 World Cup and played 100 Tests and 82 one-day internationals. He also worked as a coach with England and Afghanistan.
