Joey Franchise: The Rise of Joe Burrow

From Heisman Trophy winner to NFL superstar

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow is quickly becoming one of the most exciting players in the NFL.

With his impressive arm strength and mobility, Burrow has led the Bengals to a surprising 5-2 start this season. In just two seasons, he has thrown for over 5,000 yards and 40 touchdowns.

Burrow's success is even more impressive considering the fact that he suffered a season-ending knee injury just nine games into his rookie season. But he has come back stronger than ever, and is now one of the most dangerous quarterbacks in the league.

Burrow's rise to stardom has been meteoric. He was a five-star recruit coming out of high school, but he chose to play college football at LSU instead of Alabama or Ohio State. In three seasons with the Tigers, Burrow threw for over 11,000 yards and 80 touchdowns.

In 2019, Burrow led LSU to a national championship, and he won the Heisman Trophy as the nation's best college football player. He was then drafted by the Bengals with the first overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.

After an injury-shortened rookie season, Burrow has shown that he is ready to take the Bengals to the next level. With his talent and leadership, there is no telling how far he can go in the NFL.
